First off, Daniel made fun of me for writing a review of this restaurant since apparently there are already a million reviews of it “in the Korean blogosphere”. Well, whatever. I’ll make this one short and sweet.
Butterfinger Pancakes is popular with both Koreans and expats alike in Bundang. It is the place to go for American breakfast or comfort food. And yes, it’s overpriced. The one thing that pisses me off is there’s no drink that costs less than ₩3,900. I want a Coke for less than ₩4,600! Outrageous!
I always get the macaroni and cheese (₩4,900). It’s not exactly a deal for the small bowl you get but it’s so creamy and really hits the spot.
Usually I get the insanely expensive (₩9,900) Butterfinger Blast milkshake. It’s delish! But today I instead chose the Raspberry Sorbet Lace Crepe (₩7,600) for dessert. It was good but the “lace crepe” wasn’t really a crepe at all…
Today Daniel got granola with yogurt and berries (₩7,800) and a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit (₩6,600). After trying a bite of the biscuit (sans egg of course) I really wished I had ordered it. Yum!
There were a lot of items on the menu that sounded good so I’ll have to go back again soon. It’s always crowded but at 2:30pm on a Sunday we were seated in just a few minutes.
Directions: Butterfinger Pancakes is located on Jeongja cafe street, at the far end towards Sunae. (Take exit 4 from the subway, make a left at the first road, then a right at the first stoplight to get to cafe street.)
